1970 Mercedes Benz 280sl

We just bought this car from the second owner who only had it a couple years. They had all the records for the car with the correct tool kit and factory issue books and manuals still retaining the metal data plate in the plastic cover pouch. The original fenders and nose show all the factory spots welds remain along with the hood number matching the data tag, all signifying the collision free car. No rust in the floors or body we can see and the hood, doors and trunk all fit and function as when the car was delivered. The original owner had the car repainted, color sanded and buffed by a professional shop leaving the inner fender marks that return from the headlamp bezels at the body line. This is a beautiful example of a collector quality body that looks like Mercedes intended the car to. The chrome, glass and fit and finish of the car all show the professional level of quality in the assembly after the paint. Mechanically a pleasant driver with a nice sounding motor and smooth shifting gear box this car has always been properly maintained and serviced by knowledgeable Mercedes mechanics with the records to show. Nicely optioned with air conditioning, power steering, Becker factory radio, lap belts and both hard and soft tops this car is well outfitted and matches the factory build cards accompanying the Mercedes manuals. The interior is fresh looking non faded and in wonderful condition with nice door panels, map pouches and fresh soft top all nicely surrounding the wood dash vents providing an excellent nostalgic feel while motoring in this classic touring car. New tires and factory Mercedes battery were recently installed to complete the last service when checking the car for proper functioning systems in order to be ready to show and enjoy.
