Factory Dolphin Gray with red and a Sunroof

A spectacular car with a concourse restoration finished as Porsche factory certificate of authenticity states the car was delivered new, with dolphin grey exterior paint and red interior. The certificate shows additional factory options listed as electric sunroof, wood steering wheel, chrome luggage rack, chrome signal ring and ventilated chrome wheels with caps, crests and Dunlop tires. We restored the car by removing the entire suspension motor and transaxle under the car and all the body parts inside and out. The underside and body was stripped to bare metal and had a complete color sanded, buffed and polished show quality paint applied along with the detailed undercarriage and inner body structure having the factory style black undercoating applied. While apart the matching number motor was rebuilt and completely detailed along with the carburetors and associated individual components of the engine and transmission were rebuilt and overhauled detailed, powder coated and plated for. Correct attention to detail was used when assembling the powder coated suspension backing plates and axel tubes to the transaxle with the one piece boots and proper clamps along with all the original hardware from the car that was removed and zinc plated to use for reassembly. New link and king pin bushings 4 new Koni shocks and the Koni steering dampener shock along with 4 new rotors all new brake lines and master cylinder we even re-plated the 4 brake calipers as originally delivered from the manufacturer. Gas tank and related parts were removed painted, plated and installed with original parts under the hood being used as much as possible like the water bottle, fuse cover. The fresh air vents and other items under the hood were removed at time of disassembly restored and replaced to the car. Every piece of chrome on the car was re-plated in high quality show plating with out blemishes. Every piece was double check when picked up unwrapped and done again if not excellent so all chrome is spectacular and original no aftermarket pieces all original door handles, bumper guards and door and window glass chrome surrounds and hood pull have been returned to the car. We installed N.O.S. front turn signals and tail lights from SWF. Not aftermarket replicas. A complete new weather stripping package and all related rubber pieces were purchase for the car like the 4 piece mat set with snaps to attach to the wood floors and 4 new aluminum and rubber trims for the bumpers and rocker moldings. All chrome assembly with the matching Sekurit door glass and Sigla rear quarter glass door lock strikes zinc plated and installed with new strike receivers and door stops top and bottom. Steering column removed, painted and replaced with new coupler, shift lever chromed and holder painted re-bushed and installed with the heater cables all connected properly to the restored air can and N.O.S. corrugated tube installed between cans and heater boxes on motor. All instruments detailed and overhauled along with the wood steering wheel being refinished before installing and the sunroof reinstalled with mechanical parts detailed and polished. Finally a complete leather interior was installed with proper German square weave carpets with leather bindings to match the interior with new headliner. All this was done to an accident free no clip car with all numbers on the original unbent hood, doors and deck lid matching and having precise equal gaps at all the openings. Completed with owner’s manual tool kit, travel kit and 5 dated 65 chrome wheels in an attempt to offer the total package for the quality collector.
